Why might I need a Concierge Service?

For many, finances and health remain a very private matter and it is difficult to change the habits of a lifetime. However, as the years roll by we all become a little slower and over time increasingly aware of our limitations.
You might notice a change in your ability to do practical things – much as you love gardening, perhaps you find the recovery takes longer than the actual doing these days and you enlist help with mowing the grass so you can focus on the deadheading and pruning. You may find managing your paperwork, filling in forms and keeping track of accounts have become a little overwhelming and worse still, the thought of it is daunting – with no real explanation as to why – as you have managed fine for years. Life has a way of catching us up.
What could happen if I do nothing?
You can only avoid doing these things for so long. Manual jobs get saved up for when someone ‘tall’ or able to ‘do heavy lifting’ calls by and paperwork is often stuffed back into its envelope ‘to do another day’ and not given the priority it should. Sadly, we all know if things are overlooked for too long they can get out of hand and become too big a task to tackle.
You may relate to some of these challenges. They can be a consequence of the passing years. They certainly do not always signify a loss of mental capacity or the inability to live independently. This is a vital first step – from that moment we have a starting point from which to build, and you have peace of mind that someone else knows what you have in the event of the unthinkable.
Sharing this knowledge and offloading at the start can be a huge relief in itself as often our biggest fears are ‘what if something happens to me?’ ‘who would step in to deal with things?’.
